What service do you imagine from the words “cloud migration”?
Simplex provides not only cloud environments as “things” but also a variety of services to support customers solve their business issues. Such services include introduction support, architecture modernization, building of a system combined with SaaS, etc.
To provide these services, Simplex has collaborated strongly with AWS. Specifically, we exchange technological information through AWS and has aimed to improve the quality of our services through bilateral cooperation with AWS.

AWS Certifications Obtained in Both Consulting and Software Development

Simplex is an early adopter of AWS in the financial sector. In 2018, we were certified as an AWS Differentiated Partner, the highest status of the AWS Software Paths.
We have also received the Financial Software Competency, a certification specific to finance, which is highly difficult to obtain.
Additionally, to expand its cloud digital transformation (DX) business, we have enrolled in the AWS Service Path and then obtained Advanced Tier certification in a short period of time.
We have proven our solid track record in both consulting and software development, underpinned by its high level of technological capabilities and expertise in these fields.

FISC-Compliant APN Consortium

Simplex, as an AWS partner, has participated in the FISC^＊2-compliant APN Consortium.

The FISC-compliant APN Consortium has produced a reference document for “AWS Reference for FISC Security Guidelines on Computer Systems for Financial Institutions” released by AWS (the “Reference Document”)^＊3 to make the AWS Reference easier to use. Simplex provides the Reference Document free of charge to financial institutions and vendors that build systems for financial institutions.

FISC refers to The Center for Financial Industry Information Systems, a public interest incorporated foundation that conducts comprehensive research on diverse topics related to financial information systems.

The Reference Document was jointly produced by the member companies of the FISC-compliant APN Consortium: Simplex, Inc., as well as SCSK Corporation, NTT DATA Japan Corporation, TIS Inc., IDENTSU SOKEN INC., Trend Micro Incorporated, NEC Corporation, Nomura Research Institute, Ltd., Hitachi, Ltd., and Fujitsu Limited. Case Studies

Building a financial API platform capable of processing 1.65 million calls/hour with Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA)

SBI Shinsei Bank, Limited

Simplex improved the financial API platform system, which had problem with periodical version upgrade, by putting in place a new method of version upgrade, and automating and simplifying the procedure for version upgrade. Specifically, we enhanced the efficiency of the procedure, and have made it possible to upgrade the system within three months from the release of a new version by implementing measures, such as deploying ROSA, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), realizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and raising the level of documentation.

Building a Center of Excellence (CoE) Platform Toward Full-fledged Use of Cloud

Insurance company

Simplex assisted the insurance company in their first cloud migration . We provided a full range of cloud migration supports to help the customer resolve issues such as making up for a shortage of resources, dealing with multiple vendors, and reducing operational load. These supports include the building of a structure, formulation of guidelines, and implementation of security measures.
